Among the Hills on a Bike

Waking up to hear my alarm clock go off at 615am, time to make coffee, grab a quick breakfast, load the bike and go meet up with Todd down in Cumberland, BC. We had planned this early morning trip to give us enough time to get back before noon on the higher trails that are toward the top of the Trent river valley.

We pedalled up with the early morning light pushing us along. With nary another rider is sight we steadily climbed toward the top. Cimbing up Upper Thirsty and then making our way to the trent river lookout, which provided a short break before heading to check out the Potholes on the Trent.

Climbing back up from there we headed toward the top of the ride where Race Rocks & Grunt and Grind meet up. We headed off on the latter starting off on our long descent back to the village of cumberland. Along the way we took in great views, dealt with a flat tire and rode some fantastic trails.
