Reminiscing of Nepal

First Time Over Seas

Almost 15 years ago I did my first trip overseas. Led to me doing slideshows for high school tourism classes and began my love of travel and of taking photos. I sat down this morning after working a 7:30pm to 6:30am shift at the Hospital. Was looking through some of my old photos and decided this would be a good post.

These were taken with a Knock Off Pentax, 150mm Telephoto, and scanned on a Nikon Cool Scanner. Time consuming but fun. Amazing how many photos you throw out when taking a closer look.

These are from a trip where I went to Gokyo Ri where I could get an excellent view of Mt Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhoste. Great times. On the trip to Gokyo and back I walked over approx. 500kms. I also did a part of a trek part way around the Eastern Annapurna’s. The Shot of the Fish Tail peak, also know as Machupuchare, was taken from the middle of the lake near Phokora.

Still have all my guide books. Enjoy.
