Paris. What comes into your mind when you hear the name.

Spring in Paris
I see architecture, wine, the Eiffel tower, cheese, old buildings. It was that and more. The ease of getting around in Europe always surprises me. Walking, taking the bus or tram, the subway systems, directions, maps and the waterway transportation are very good. When in Paris I used the subway a lot – even with all my bags it was a snap to get in and out of the city. I stayed in the Latin quarter at the Young and Happy Hostel for my two visits, pretty funny that I still spent less than 48hrs in this fun city.

Paris by Bike
Lots of exploring went on from pubs and restaurants to the Batoboat, which I took on my last day in Paris, which made it easy to get on and off at a variety of sites around the Seine river for only 15 euro. Made it out to check out the Effiel tower, Notre Dame and Avenue Des Champ Elysees, where I did the Pulp Fiction thing of having a beer with a burger and chips.
There was a lot of fun to be had in the big city, it was nice to see the Eiffel tower, however I am not a fan of long line ups and did not wait to walk up it. Something for the next journey, I suppose. Also later on heard about a building close by the Latin Quarter where you can get a great view of the city for free. More up my alley.
